Booking Policies


A deposit of $200.00+HST per accommodation is required for all reservations.


If written notice of cancellation is received 14 or more days prior to your arrival date, your deposit will be refunded minus a $20 administration charge.

Early Departures

Guests on all-inclusive packages who cancel part of their reservation within 14 days of arrival or depart prior to their confirmed departure date will be charged the high season daily rate for the days stayed and will forfeit their deposit unless we are able to rent the accommodation that was cancelled.

Guests in cottages with kitchens who cancel part of their reservation within 14 days of their arrival or depart prior to their confirmed departure date will be charged for the entire length of their original reservation unless we are able to rent their accommodation for the full period reserved.

Paying for Your Stay

All rates are quoted and payable in Canadian dollars. We accept cash, Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover and debit cards. By providing your card you authorize Grand Tappattoo Resort to charge your card for any additional fees incurred above that of the accommodation package.


If you would like to leave a gratuity for any of our staff, we encourage you to interact with them directly.  Our staff would welcome the opportunity to thank you in person.

Rate & Policy Changes

Rates and policies are subject to change without notice and are not guaranteed until your reservation has been confirmed in writing.  Grand Tappattoo Resort reserves the right to refuse or cancel any reservation without notice or cause, and if done so, will refund any deposits in full.

All Inclusive Packages

Rates for all-inclusive packages are in Canadian dollars and are per person based on double occupancy. They include accommodation in our hotel rooms and suites, breakfast, lunch & dinner daily, use of all recreation facilities, non motorized recreational equipment, daily housekeeping services and parking.

Single rates are available upon request.  Children 5 and under stay free when accompanies by two adults.

A 13% tax (HST) will be added to all packages.  There is no additional resort service charge added.

Cottages with Kitchens

Rates for cottages with kitchens are in Canadian dollars and are per cottage. They include your cottage, use of all recreation facilities, non motorized recreational equipment and parking.

Additional person charges apply in cottages after 2 persons in a 1-bedroom cottage, after 4 persons in a 2-bedroom cottage, after 5 persons in a 2.5-bedroom cottage and after 6 persons in a 3-bedroom cottage. Rollaway beds are available on request. Please inquire for details and charges.

Please be advised that cottages are considered self sufficient units. We supply the necessities for your FIRST night only. These include coffee filters, coffee packets, toilet paper, and dish soap. Fresh linens will be supplied to cottages upon request only.

Visiting Friends of Guests

We do not allow any day visitors except for friends of guests that are staying at the resort.  Friends may visit for the day but are not allowed to stay overnight in the guests’ room. Please check with the Front Desk for our day charge.

Housekeeping Items

Except for the coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator units that the resort provides, preparation of food in guest rooms, except cottages, by any type of cooking appliances is prohibited. A minimum fee of $300.00 will be charged for cooking in a room, including, but not limited to hot plates, toaster ovens, water heaters, rice cookers, open flames, barbecue grills, burners, heating appliances, or any other item intended for cooking. Cooking grills, either charcoal or gas, and fireworks are not allowed anywhere on resort property.

Facilities & Recreation

No food or beverage of any kind is to be consumed in the pool area.

Pool Hours of Operation are 8AM to 10PM. The nightly noise curfew is 11:00PM.

Campfires may only take place with the permission of the resort, based on the current fire regulations.

All non motorized recreation must be returned to the resort by dusk and may not be taken out again until dawn. Usage of recreational facilities and equipment outside the prescribed hours is strictly prohibited.


Dining at the restaurant will require a reservation for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We recommend you make reservations as soon as possible before arrival or on check in. Reservations will only be held for 10 minutes after their scheduled seating time All guests must be dressed in appropriate attire when in public areas of the resort. Take out and room service may be available from the restaurant depending on availability and timing. We cannot guarantee wait times.

Check In/ Check Out:

Check in time is at 4:00PM. Check out time is at 10:00AM.

Smoking Policy

Please note that smoking/vaping of any substance in any of the hotel rooms, suites, cottages or indoor spaces is strictly prohibited. Should smoke be detected in a guest room, upon inspection by housekeeping, the occupant will be charged an additional $250.00. Smoking is also strictly prohibited on outdoor restaurant patios and near public entrances to all resort buildings. The smoking of recreational marijuana is strictly prohibited on resort property.

Alcohol Policy

Consumption of personal alcohol is prohibited in all public areas of the resort. Alcohol purchased from the resort may be consumed throughout the property, except for the pool, saunas, fitness centre and recreational facilities.

Incidental Fees

Any resort property including key cards, towels, bedding or all furnishings which are not returned to front desk or remaining in the room upon check out will be charged to the guest’s credit card at the appropriate rate.

Pets Policy

Grand Tappattoo Resort does not allow pets of any kind on resort grounds, hotel rooms or cottages.

Service Animals

Grand Tappattoo Resort must be notified of service animals before your scheduled arrival date. Guests with service animals must stay in our suites and are responsible for any price differences should they have to be relocated to a suite.

General Policy & Liability

Grand Tappattoo Resort has a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in the hotel and resort facilities or may remove a person who: while on the premises of the resort acts in an obviously intoxicated or disorderly manner, destroys or threatens to destroy resort property, or causes or threatens to cause a public disturbance; or refuses or is unable to pay for the accommodations or services. Grand Tappattoo Resort may limit the number of persons who may occupy a particular guest room on the resort and will only allow registered guests to use the facilities. A person who negligently or intentionally causes damage to the resort or any furniture or furnishings within the resort, shall be liable for damages sustained by the resort staff, including the resort's loss of revenue resulting from the inability to rent or lease rooms while the damage is being repaired.

Grand Tappattoo is not responsible for articles lost or stolen and any accidents or injuries that occur on or with the property of Grand Tappattoo Resort including but not limited to the use to canoes, kayaks, paddle boards and any recreational facilities or equipment owned or operated by Grand Tappattoo Resort.

I agree that my liability for charges incurred from my booking is not waived and agree to be held personally liable in the event that the indicated person, company or association fails to pay for any part, or the full amount of any charges incurred by all persons occupying the above accommodation.
